Category: Industrial Tools / Electric Power Tools / Jigsaws

Purpose: Designed for precise straight, curved, contour, pendulum, and bevel cutting in wood, non-ferrous metals, steel, plastics, panels, and other compatible materials.

⚙️ What It Is

The METABO STEB 100 Quick, article number 601110000, is a professional corded jigsaw with a conventional bow-type top handle designed for precise and controlled cutting.

The machine is powered by a 710 W motor with an output power of approximately 470 W. Its adjustable no-load stroke rate ranges from 1,000 to 3,100 strokes per minute, allowing the operator to match cutting speed to the workpiece material and blade type.

A 22 mm blade stroke and four-stage pendulum mechanism provide a balance between clean cutting and fast material removal. Metabo specifies maximum cutting capacities of 100 mm in wood, 25 mm in non-ferrous metals, and 10 mm in sheet steel.

The Metabo Quick system enables tool-free blade changes and automatically ejects the blade during removal. A low-positioned, spring-supported blade guide helps improve cutting accuracy, while the selectable chip-blowing function keeps the cutting line visible.

The tool also uses Vario-Constamatic / VTC electronics, which help maintain a nearly constant stroke rate under load while allowing speed to be adjusted according to the material.

🔄 Compatibility

The STEB 100 Quick accepts compatible Metabo and standard jigsaw blades suitable for the Quick blade holder.

Appropriate blades can be selected for:

• Softwood
• Hardwood
• Plywood
• MDF
• Laminated panels
• Aluminium
• Other non-ferrous metals
• Steel sheet
• Plastics

Metabo also offers compatible precision guide rails and guiding accessories for applications requiring improved straight-cut accuracy.

🛠 Installation & Maintenance

Disconnect the jigsaw from mains power before changing the saw blade, adjusting the base, cleaning, or performing maintenance.

Insert the selected blade using the Metabo Quick mechanism and verify that it is securely seated.

Adjust the stroke rate and pendulum position according to the material. Lower pendulum action is generally preferable for harder materials and cleaner cuts, while higher settings can increase cutting speed in suitable wood.

For bevel cutting, adjust the base to the required angle within the -45° to +45° range.

Keep the blade guide, Quick mechanism, ventilation openings, protective glass, blower outlet, and extraction connection clean.

⚠️ Safety & Precautions

• Disconnect mains power before changing blades.
• Wear suitable eye and hearing protection.
• Secure the workpiece before cutting.
• Keep hands away from the moving blade.
• Use the correct blade for each material.
• Do not use bent or damaged blades.
• Reduce pendulum action when cutting metal.
• Inspect the power cable before operation.
• Use dust extraction where appropriate.
• Follow Metabo operating and electrical safety instructions.
