GÜDE STS 850 58219 850W Electric Jigsaw

Powerful 850 W corded pendulum jigsaw with variable speed control, four-stage orbital action, tool-free blade changing, LED work light, laser cutting guide, and 100 mm wood-cutting capacity.

Category: Industrial Tools / Electric Power Tools / Jigsaws

Purpose: Designed for straight, curved, contour, pendulum, and bevel cutting in wood, steel, plastics, panels, and other compatible materials for workshop, renovation, installation, and general construction applications.

⚙️ What It Is

The GÜDE STS 850, article number 58219, is a corded electric jigsaw designed for versatile cutting work in workshops, renovation projects, furniture assembly, interior installation, and general maintenance.

Its 850 W motor operates from a 230 V / 50 Hz mains supply and provides a continuously adjustable no-load stroke rate between 800 and 3,000 strokes per minute. This variable-speed capability allows the operator to adapt cutting performance according to the workpiece and installed blade.

The machine uses a 20 mm blade stroke and incorporates a four-stage pendulum-action system with three orbital settings plus position 0. This allows the user to choose between cleaner controlled cutting and faster material removal in suitable materials.

GÜDE specifies a maximum cutting depth of 100 mm in wood and 8 mm in steel. Its aluminium base plate can be adjusted up to 45°, enabling bevel and mitre-style cuts in addition to standard vertical cutting.

The STS 850 also combines several practical guidance features, including an integrated LED work light, laser cutting-line indicator, dust blower, and external dust-extraction connection. A tool-free quick-change blade system simplifies blade replacement, while the Softgrip handle improves control during prolonged operation.

Compatible blade types can be selected for materials such as:

Softwood
Hardwood
Plywood
Chipboard
Plastics
Steel
Other compatible sheet materials

🛠 Installation & Maintenance

Disconnect the tool from mains power before replacing the blade, adjusting the base plate, or carrying out maintenance.

Install the appropriate saw blade using the tool-free quick-change system and ensure that it is securely locked before operation.

Set the stroke rate and pendulum level according to the material. Lower pendulum settings are preferable for controlled or cleaner cuts, while higher settings can increase cutting speed in suitable wood.

For bevel work, adjust the aluminium base plate to the required angle up to 45° and securely lock it before cutting.

Keep the blade holder, guide mechanism, ventilation openings, laser and LED area, base plate, dust blower, and extraction connection clean.

⚠️ Safety & Precautions

Disconnect mains power before changing blades.
Wear suitable eye and hearing protection.
Secure the workpiece before cutting.
Keep hands away from the moving blade.
Do not use bent or damaged blades.
Use the correct blade for each material.
Check for hidden wiring or pipes before cutting.
Inspect the mains cable before operation.
Use suitable dust extraction where required.
Follow GÜDE operating and electrical safety instructions.
