STAYER SS L18 SET 18V Cordless Reciprocating Saw Kit

Versatile 18 V cordless reciprocating saw kit with variable speed control, quick blade changing, adjustable shoe, two 2.0 Ah Li-Ion batteries, charger, and transport bag for mobile cutting applications.

Category: Industrial Tools / Cordless Power Tools / Reciprocating Saws

Purpose: Designed for freehand cutting of wood, aluminium, metal, plastics, fiberglass, pipes, profiles, and other compatible materials during renovation, maintenance, installation, and dismantling work.

⚙️ What It Is

The STAYER SS L18 SET is an 18 V cordless reciprocating saw designed for portable cutting applications where a conventional circular saw or jigsaw would be difficult to use.

The SS L18 uses a battery-powered motor with electronic speed control and provides a no-load stroke rate from 0 to 3,300 strokes per minute. Its 25 mm blade stroke provides effective material removal in wood, metals, plastics, fiberglass, and other compatible materials.

STAYER specifies maximum cutting capacities of 80 mm in wood, 25 mm in aluminium, and 15 mm in metal. These capacities make the saw useful for workshop maintenance, construction, pipe cutting, dismantling, and general repair work.

A quick-change blade system simplifies blade replacement, while the adjustable saw shoe can be repositioned without tools. The rubber-coated housing provides a more secure grip during extended use.

Unlike the standard bare-tool SS L18 configuration, the SET version is supplied as a complete package with two 18 V 2.0 Ah lithium-ion batteries, battery charger, two saw blades, and a transport bag.

🔄 Compatibility

The SS L18 belongs to STAYER’s earlier L18 18 V lithium-ion platform.

STAYER documented interchangeable 2.0 Ah and 4.0 Ah L18 batteries for compatible tools in this generation. Battery compatibility should be verified against the original L18 battery interface before purchasing replacement batteries or chargers, particularly because newer STAYER cordless systems use different model designations.

The saw uses a quick-change blade system with universal insertion. Select suitable reciprocating-saw blades according to the material being processed.

🛠 Installation & Maintenance

Remove the battery before replacing a blade, adjusting the saw shoe, cleaning, or performing maintenance.

Insert the appropriate blade into the quick-change holder and ensure that it is securely locked before operation.

Adjust the saw shoe according to the required cutting depth and workpiece geometry. Allow the shoe to rest firmly against the workpiece during cutting to improve control and reduce vibration.

Keep the blade holder, ventilation openings, adjustable shoe, battery contacts, and external housing clean.

⚠️ Safety & Precautions

Remove the battery before changing blades.
Wear suitable eye and hearing protection.
Secure loose workpieces before cutting.
Keep hands away from the blade.
Check for hidden cables and pipes before demolition cuts.
Use a blade designed for the material.
Do not use damaged or bent blades.
Allow hot blades to cool before handling.
Do not modify batteries or chargers.
Follow STAYER operating and battery safety instructions.
