SKIL 3420DC 20V Max Cordless Jigsaw Kit

Versatile cordless jigsaw with variable speed control, four-stage orbital action, tool-free Clic blade changing, LED illumination, and complete 2.0 Ah battery kit for accurate straight, curved, and bevel cutting.

Category: Industrial Tools / Cordless Power Tools / Jigsaws

Purpose: Designed for straight, curved, contour, pendulum, and bevel cutting in wood, aluminium, metal, plastics, panels, and other compatible materials.

⚙️ What It Is

The SKIL 3420DC, product code SW1E3420DC, is a cordless jigsaw from the SKIL 20V Max Energy Platform. The system operates at 18 V nominal voltage and allows compatible batteries to be shared between numerous SKIL cordless power and garden tools.

The jigsaw provides a variable no-load stroke rate of 0–2,800 strokes per minute combined with a substantial 23 mm blade stroke. Four orbital-action positions allow the user to adapt blade movement according to the material and required cutting quality.

SKIL specifies maximum cutting capacities of 65 mm in wood, 8 mm in aluminium, and 6 mm in metal. This makes the 3420 suitable for general woodworking, furniture assembly, renovation, panel cutting, light metalwork, and installation applications.

The Clic blade-change system allows saw blades to be replaced without additional tools. A tool-free adjustable base plate supports bevel cutting up to 45°, while the integrated LED work light and dust blower improve visibility of the cutting line. A vacuum adapter can also be connected to suitable dust extraction equipment.

Softwood
Hardwood
Plywood
Laminated panels
Aluminium
Metal
Plastics
Other compatible materials

🛠 Installation & Maintenance

Remove the battery before installing or replacing a saw blade, adjusting the base plate, or cleaning the machine.

Use the Clic mechanism to install the appropriate blade and verify that it is securely locked before operation.

Select the correct stroke speed and orbital-action position according to the material. Lower orbital settings are preferable for harder materials and cleaner cutting, while increased orbital action can improve cutting speed in suitable wood.

Keep the blade holder, guide mechanism, ventilation openings, LED area, base plate, blower outlet, vacuum adapter, and battery contacts clean.

⚠️ Safety & Precautions

Remove the battery before changing blades.
Wear appropriate eye and hearing protection.
Secure the workpiece before cutting.
Keep hands away from the moving blade.
Use the correct blade for each material.
Do not use damaged or bent blades.
Reduce orbital action for metal cutting.
Check for hidden wiring or pipes before cutting.
Use dust extraction where appropriate.
Use only compatible SKIL batteries and chargers.
Follow the manufacturer’s operating instructions.
