Metabo STA 18 LTX 140 18V Cordless Jigsaw

High-performance 18 V cordless jigsaw with VTC electronics, variable stroke control, tool-free blade changing, and 140 mm wood-cutting capacity for demanding professional applications.

Category: Industrial Tools / Cordless Power Tools / Jigsaws

Purpose: Designed for precise straight, curved, pendulum, and bevel cutting in wood, non-ferrous metals, sheet steel, panels, and other compatible materials.

⚙️ What It Is

The Metabo STA 18 LTX 140 is a professional cordless jigsaw from Metabo’s 18 V LTX platform. It is designed for demanding woodworking, construction, installation, fabrication, and industrial maintenance applications requiring high cutting capacity combined with cordless mobility.

The machine uses VTC electronics to maintain efficient cutting performance and provides a no-load stroke rate of 1,000–3,000 strokes per minute. Its 26 mm saw blade stroke and four-stage pendulum action allow the cutting behaviour to be adapted to different materials and required finishes.

Metabo specifies a maximum cutting depth of 140 mm in wood, 35 mm in non-ferrous metals, and 10 mm in sheet steel. An automatic start-up function begins cutting at a controlled stroke rate before accelerating, helping improve positioning and control at the start of the cut.

The STA 18 LTX 140 also incorporates the Metabo Quick system for tool-free blade replacement with automatic blade ejection. Its footplate can be adjusted without tools for bevel cuts and includes preset positions for frequently used angles.

🔄 Compatibility

The STA 18 LTX 140 operates on Metabo’s 18 V battery platform and is compatible with suitable Metabo Li-Ion and LiHD battery packs.

The tool can therefore be integrated into an existing Metabo 18 V cordless system. Exact battery and charger compatibility should always be verified using current Metabo documentation.

Replacement jigsaw blades should be selected according to the blade mounting system, workpiece material, required cutting depth, and desired finish.

🛠 Installation & Maintenance

Install a compatible saw blade using the Metabo Quick mechanism and confirm that the blade is correctly locked before operation.

Select the stroke rate and pendulum setting according to the material being processed. For bevel cuts, adjust the footplate to the required angle and ensure it is securely locked.

Keep the blade guide, ventilation openings, footplate, and battery contacts clean.

Remove the battery before changing blades, making adjustments, cleaning, or carrying out maintenance.

⚠️ Safety & Precautions

Remove the battery before changing the blade.
